Genre/sub genre

Major influences-what existing products would you like to emulate?
I would either like to make an 80s style video similar to the likes of lucky girl by fazerdaze with lots of zoom ins and faster paced editing. If I do create a video in this style I would like to use jumpcuts in a similar way to that of season 2 episode three by glass animals  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2Kwos_oWSc
As well as this  I would use slow motion footage inspired by youth by glass animals https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZdsmLgCVdU

If I do not decide to do this, I would like to make a video to a slower song such as head above the water incorporating elements such as reversing some of the footage which is inspired by alt-j's breezeblocks video.  Also really like the cool blue/grey tone of this videohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rVeMiVU77wo

If I do create a music video to head above the water my main influence would be the music video to chained by the XX. I Would like to film much of my video in and around the pool with both underwater footage and slow motion aerial footage. I also like the cool tone of this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SeWxEH9tb0c

As well as this I like the effect of the of the projected images in the video for crystalized by the XX on the bands faces and I would like to recreate this. This is also done by palace in their video for holy smoke.

Music video-what song is it? Can you get permission or prove that you have sought permission?
What is the narrative of the song?
Is there an existing video for it?
I would like to do the song head above the water by palace.

I have tweeted the band and I have emailed their management, beatnik creative.

I am planning to creative a narrative based around water and the sea.
There is an already an existing video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Akk_lQzGSog

Organisation

When, where and whom are you going to film?
I am planning to film the majority of the narrative footage on the 7 and 8th of July at my friends pool and house in Newmarket. I am also planning to film some footage at RAF Upwood. I am then going back at the end of the summer ad film any remaining footage that is needed. I am planning to film footage of the band during the course of the summer at a separate location at my friends studio in south end. I will also film some drone footage of the sea, cliff and beach in Ibiza and Jamaica over the holidays.
What equipment are you going to need to use/borrow?
I am going to use a drone, lights, a variety of lenses, go pro and steadicam.
Approved/rejected
